How to change a page layout in SharePoint 2013
SharePoint 2013 provides the capabilities to create webpages with different content. Each SharePoint page is based on a certain page layout. Layouts define the number of zones and how the content will be presented on the webpage. They are based on the content type with predefined number of site columns.
