If you have a number of related documents, you have several options how to manage them. You could use a folder or metadata, but SharePoint 2013 also allows creating Document Sets to group files and easily manage them. A Document Set provides you with the ability to manage a number of files as one single item. You can run a workflow on a Document Set and use versioning.
