SharePoint 2013 Versioning and Content Approval belong to the powerful document management features. They can be setup on the Versioning Settings page. When Content Approval is enabled, you can create items as drafts and they will not be visible to other users until a user with Approve permission approves them. Versioning Settings provide the ability to create copies of a document each time when it is edited and also add comments for each version. It is very useful for document protection, because using this feature you can restore any document to its earlier version. Learn more about Content Approval and Versioning on PlexHosted Wiki.
